While reading Emotional Design (by Donald A. Norman)
To say that we’re a tactile and physical only race is bullshit. Norman wrote, “when you’re wearing a thousand dollar suit,” super salesman Mort spivas told the media cirtic DOuglass Rushkoff,”you project a different aura. And then people treat you differently. you exude confidence. and if you can feel confident, you’ll act confident.”
With this, I agree. It’s why teenage girls stress so much about what to wear to school in the morning to impress the guy they like. It’s why steve jobs always wore a black turtle neck and jeans on his keynotes. It’s safe to say that poeple who only consider the physical impact of their actions are more than just naive. My thought: emotion is half, if not more than half of the battle.
